The Acceleration program for Canada mission is ON.
We’ve now had a first session together and now we look forward to working more together.
The variety of specializations among the 12 selected companies was wide and it was really interesting to hear everyone's interest in participating in this mission. Just check out: AnteMotion, Auvetech, Bringauto, Büyütech, fleXstructures, Gears LTD, Hybrid- Airplane Technologies GmbH, InnoBrain, Nextérité, Nexyad, Sherpa Engineering and YoGoKo.
The INTonomous project aims to Connect, Prepare and finally Go! We are building a European Collaborative network of SME:s based on opportunities on all sectors and topics related to autonomous driving. We will give opportunities to the SME:s to better understand identified strategic international markets. Finally we will organize targeted missions to understand the market on real site and access strategic key players and relevant partners through the Acceleration programmes and International missions.
During the first session we also had the opportunity to welcome GoExport, the organizer of the international business mission to Canada. GoExport contributes in SMEs’ growth by comercializing their goods and services on international markets. During the mission GoExport will include the following objectives such as Tailored program, Collaboration, Matchmaking and Networking. Prior to the international mission GoExport will organize two preparatory training sessions. The content of the workshops will focus on two different aspects of doing business in Canada: Technical and Commercial: How to make a trade mission successful and How to put forward added value to close deals and partnership.
The organisation Invest in Ontario also joined the sessions presenting their activities and giving a clear idea of the support that the participating companies could get from them, in order to success their implantation in the Canadian market. Their mandate is to accompany investment projects to Ontario, assist Ontario exporters to access new markets and facilitate R&D collaboration. The sector focus is Automotive, Advanced Manufacturing, Aerospace, ICT, Life Sciences and Clean Technologies. On this specific program Ontario Canada will do briefings on the Ontario business sector environment and key sectors. They will do guidance on establishing business in Ontario AND do introductions to innovation hubs, industry partners and municipalities.
We also got to take part of an intervention by AVIN Hub (The Autonomous Vehicle Innovation Network) introducing Ontario’s Autonomous Vehicle ecosystem. As a key component of Driving Prosperity, AVIN captures the economic potential of automotive and smart mobility solutions to shape the future of Ontario’s sector. AVIN are enabling the province’s transportation and infrastructure networks to plan for and adapt to this transformation. AVIN includes support for SMEs to develop, test and commercialize new automotive and mobility technologies; support for talent development; and testing and demonstration sites. They bridge Ontario’s automotive, technology and manufacturing clusters to support the growth of Ontario’s ecosystem. And finally AVIN wants to ensure that Ontario remains a global leader in the automotive and mobility sector.
